At GetawayToIndia, we believe exceptional street photography begins long before the first click of the shutter. It starts with understanding a destination—its people, traditions, rhythms, and the fleeting moments that make each place unique. Over the years, we have designed and operated photography workshops across India, Nepal, and Bhutan, working alongside internationally renowned photographers and photography enthusiasts from around the world.
Every workshop is built on extensive research, recce trips, and years of on-ground experience. We carefully select each location, market, festival, village, and neighbourhood to ensure photographers are in the right place at the right time, making the most of light, local life, and authentic cultural moments.
From the vibrant streets of Rajasthan, Kolkata, Mumbai, Amritsar, Dharamshala, and Kerala to the monasteries of Bhutan and the timeless lanes of Nepal, our workshops go far beyond the tourist trail. We create opportunities to photograph colourful festivals, bustling bazaars, artisans, monks, local communities, and indigenous tribes, offering genuine storytelling experiences through the lens.
Our experienced team takes care of every detail—from logistics, accommodation, transport, permits, and local coordination to exclusive cultural encounters—allowing photographers to focus entirely on their creativity.
